东风夜放花千树。更吹落、星如雨。

Fireworks after having been set off were scattered in everywhere by the east wind just like the blossoms blowed to fall down .

宝马雕车香满路。

凤箫声动，玉壶光转，一夜鱼龙舞。

Luxury carriages full of fragrance could be seen at all times on the road . The sound of Xiao was melodiuos . The moon hanging in the sky like a round jade pot was declining . Dance and laugh pervaded everywhere for the whole night .

蛾儿雪柳黄金缕。笑语盈盈暗香去。

Beautiful girls and women wearing exquisite decorations on their heads all smiled and went away just leaving waves of soft fragrance behind .

众里寻他千百度。

蓦然回首，那人却在，灯火阑珊处。

Having been searching for hundreds of thousands of times , while looking back accidentaly , I saw her finally in the place where all lights were burning out .

创作背景

这首词作于公元1174年或1175年（南宋淳熙元年或二年）。当时，强敌压境，国势日衰，而南宋统治阶级却不思恢复，偏安江左，沉湎于歌舞享乐，以粉饰太平。洞察形势的辛弃疾，欲补天穹，却恨无路请缨。他满腹的激情、哀伤、怨恨，交织成了这幅元夕求索图。

CREATION BACKGROUND

This poem was created in 1174 or 1175 when the Southern Song dynasty was threatened by the powerful enemies near the border and the national strength was declining , however the government still indulged in the enjoyment of singing and dancing to disguise the false image of peace and didn't seem to struggle to revive . Xin Qiji who had had an insight into such a emergency situation want to save but had no help to ask yet . Under such a sorrowful and disappointing conditon , he wrote this famous poem down .
