Q2：你读过最震撼的书是什么？为什么？（What's the most impressive book you ever read and why?）
I think it should be The Dream of the Red Mansions. I remember that I read it for the first time when I was only 15 years old, but I didn't understand it well then and I regard it as a tragic love story; I picked up this book again during my sophomore year. What impressed me most was that it is so excellent because you can view it from different perspectives. I really like it and I have different feelings every time I read it. This masterpiece can withstand the test of time.
Q3：你最突出的优点是什么？（What is your greatest strength?）
I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as I’d planned. I’ve set some high goals for myself. For example, I want to graduate with highest distinction. And even though I had a slow start in my freshman year, I made up for it by doing an honor’s thesis.

I really love this major and I believe it is highly relevant to today’s society. Translation can serve as a bridge to connect different languages and different cultures. However, I know that what I have learned in university is not enough for me to be a qualified interpreter. That’s why I took the postgraduate examination last year.
Q5：为什么选择我们学校？（Why did you choose our school?）
Peking University is one of the best universities in our country. I guess many students in China want to go to Peking University and I am no exception. Also, PKU has tremendous strength in scientific research and a strong battalion of best and experienced teachers, who are qualified in teaching and research work. In a word, I have very good impression about this university and I hope I can become a PKU postgraduate.
Q6：如果这次不录取你，你会怎么应对？（How do you handle rejection?）
Thank you for your question. I think the experience of preparing for postgraduate entrance examination has made me learned a lot contents that are not available in books. I always think that “ there is no way to go in vain in the world, and every step counts.” If I am not admitted and continue to strive for the goal. I know that I still have deficiencies, but I have tried my best to prepare for this exam, I believe that the hard-working people will be rewarded, thank you teacher.
Q7:研究生期间你的计划。（Plans in the postgraduate study.)
First, I hope I can form systematic view of XXX. As for XXX, my express wish is to get a complete comprehension of the formation and development as well as XXX. If possible, I will go on with my study for doctorate degree. In a word, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for future profession after three years study here.

This epidemic is undoubtedly a grave threat to global health. It is the enemy of all human beings. China has made great achievements in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 Virus, but many other countries are still suffering from the rapid spread of the virus.
