考点一、hope 的用法
(1) hope 用作动词或名词，意为"希望、盼望"。
Try hard, never give up your hope.
努力，不要放弃你的希望。
(2) hope to do sth. "希望做某事"，动词不定式作宾语。
I hope to win the game.
我希望赢得这次比赛。
What do you hope to do during the winter vacation?
在寒假期间你希望做什么？
(3) hope that 从句，"期望 /盼望……"
I hope that you can make your dream come true.
我希望你能实现你的梦想。
He hopes that I can help him.
他希望我能帮助他。
(4) hope 与 wish 用法辨析
① 二者都可以表示"希望"，都可以接 动词不定式作宾语。
I wish / hope to be a teacher in the future.
我希望将来成为一名教师。
②二者都可以接that从句，但hope 表示"希望" wish 则表示一种不太可能实现的愿望，通常用虚拟语气。
I hope you'll be better soon. 我希望你快点好起来。
I wish I were ten years younger. 我希望年轻10岁。
③ wish 可接 "宾语 to do" 结构，表示"希望某人做某事"，hope 则不能这样用，也就是说不能用 "hope sb. to do sth" 结构。
I wish you to have a good day. 我希望你过得愉快。
④ wish 可接双宾语结构，wish sb. sth. 但hope没有这种用法。
We wish you a happy New Year. 希望你新年快乐。
考点二、find / look for / find out 辨析
1.find 及物动词，意为"（意外或偶然地）发现，找到，找回"，强调"找"的结果。
I can't find my pen. Can you help me?
我找不到我的钢笔了，你能帮助我吗？
What did you find in the zoo? 你在动物园发现了什么？
2. look for 意为"寻找"，强调"找"的动作或过程。
I looked for my pen everywhere, but I couldn't find it.
我到处找我的钢笔，但没找到。

3. find out 意为"（通过刻意努力）发现，找出，查明，弄清楚"
Please find out who broke the window as soon as possible.

What's going on的意思是"发生什么事了？""进展得怎样?"
what 在句子中做主语。
同义句有：What's up?怎么了？What's the matter?出什么事了？
