保留了木纹的化石欧泊

欧泊甚至可以像琥珀那样包含有昆虫，比如在下图的标本中，欧泊呈现出半透明的琥珀色至无色透明的渐变，顶端还有变彩。研究者猜测，它很有可能一开始是琥珀或者柯巴树脂，并在随后的地质活动中被欧泊交代。

对于一些有地质学知识背景又喜欢玩户外的人来说，也许可以捡到漂亮的化石。但这些地方不少都人迹罕至（人多的早就被捡走了），甚至有可能不太安全，所以……暂时还是看过即拥有吧。
